Petra & Wadi Rum
Weddings and pre-wedding shoots in Petra and Wadi Rum
Two of the most photographed landscapes in the world, a few hours from Amman. We plan desert and rose-city shoots around the light, the heat and the rules of each site.
Plan a desert shootWadi Rum
Red sand, granite cliffs and a sky without city light. Couples choose Wadi Rum for a pre-wedding shoot at sunset, or for a small wedding at a desert camp. The best light is the hour before sunset and the blue half hour after it; at night the stars are part of the frame.
Petra
Petra is a protected archaeological site with its own visiting hours and rules, and it is busy with visitors during the day. We plan a Petra shoot early in the morning, and check what is allowed with the site before we confirm your plan.
Planning the trip
Petra and Wadi Rum are easily combined in two days, with a night in the desert between them. Outfit changes, transport in the desert and timing are planned with you in advance; the crew's travel is quoted for your dates.
Coming from the Gulf or abroad?
If you live outside Jordan and are marrying here, we have a page on planning your wedding photography from abroad: what to decide first, how to book, and how travel is quoted.

Questions couples ask
Do we need a permit to photograph in Petra?
Petra has its own rules for professional photography and filming. We check the current requirements with the site for your date before we confirm the shoot.
When is the best season?
Spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November). Summer days in the desert are very hot, and winter nights are cold.
Is there an extra cost outside Amman?
The packages are the same; travel is quoted for your wedding when you ask. Send the date and the venue and we reply with the cost.
